LoFric’s unique surface ensures the catheter tube doesn’t stick in the urethra. The benefit of LoFric’s surface is clear when you compare it to other hydrophilic surfaces. Most catheters are smooth at insertion, but not all manage to stay smooth at withdrawal. Since a LoFric catheter stays smooth, it allows for gentle catheterization also during withdrawal, resulting in reduced risk for urethral trauma, pain and urinary tract infections.
